The philosophy behind Red Ribbon Week at Keystone Heights Elementary is that by becoming a person of good character, someone will have decision making skills and will be able to say no to peer pressure and drugs. The week was celebrated by learning six character traits: respect, believing in yourself, honesty, a positive attitude, making good decisions, and responsibility. The staff dressed as superheroes of character. Students received quotes about character, and throughout the week the principal picked two quotes at a time to read. The students with those quotes won stickers. Classes wore camouflage to show that you can try to hide yourself, but you can’t hide great character. Also, the U.S. Navy held an assembly for Keystone Heights titled Campaign Drug Free. On Friday, a world-class skier spoke about being a champion in life and how character traits will help
